A plug-in hybrid electric car that developed by Guangzhou Automobile Group Co Ltd will play in the latest Transformers movie, titled “Age of Extinction”.

The new Transformers movie is rumored to be released in mid-2014. “Product Placement in Transformers movie will increase the profile of the GAC brand both domestically and abroad,” said one of sources as reported by Reuters on Wednesday (18/09/2013).

Not described which China locally assembled cars will take role or be used in the latest Transformers movie. But there is big possibility that this car won’t use as bad character.

“Cool and interesting cars in the world will appear in the film including China’s vehicle. It would be an honor for us,” he said again.

Previously, Chinese hybrid car called the E-jet has been exhibited in Detroit auto show in January and the manufacturer still has no plans to sell it.
